Obakki quietly and confidently designs and manufactures contemporary classics for the modern woman. With a soft approach to a progressive lifestyle, each garment embodies strength through femininity. Obakki understands that one cannot be defined by clothing and our designs compliment without overpowering; providing versatile wardrobe staples.
Through conceptual storytelling, Founder and Creative Director, Treana Peake, reinterprets Obakki's signature draping and fabrics every season. Drawing upon her travels and work with the Obakki Foundation, Treana translates her personal encounters into an honest design experience. It is her forward take on everyday necessity that results in beautiful, effortless clothing.
This earnest approach to fashion is the essence of Obakki's value system. With integrity at the core of our infrastructure, it is intrinsic from process to product - each garment is designed, cut and sewn in Vancouver. By upholding the North American tradition of fine garment manufacturing, we cultivate creative talent here at home.
On a global scale, the Obakki Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support worldwide humanitarian causes. Currently, efforts are focused on the water crisis in South Sudan, where the Obakki Foundation has drilled a growing number of fresh water wells. The fashion supports the Foundation by covering all administrative, transportation and marketing costs, ensuring that 100% of proceeds can go directly toward
the cause.
