Everything that comes from this ceramic art studio – from the Australian clays to the native flora and fauna used in the firing, is derived directly from the landscape. So not only is your piece made in Australia – it is made of Australia.
The founder is Anna-Marie Wallace, a half-Italian, British-born Australian artist and designer. She uses organic, indigenous materials such as snakeskin, eggshells from emu and crocodile and goose feathers that fuse with the surface of the clay.
And another thing we like about Anna-Marie? She actively seeks to help other creatives carve out paths to making a living with their art. Her dedication to the local artisan community in her area helps foster new talent to create beautiful things for others to enjoy.
No two pieces from Made of Australia can ever be the same. While similar and complementary in size and shape, the pattern on each piece will always have its own unique character and markings, as does everything in nature.
