Beaker Carafe - L
HANDMADE IN JAPAN
Give a subtle nod to mid-century design with the playful, modern shape of these carafes. Comfortable in the hand, the curved body of these vessels is inspired by the hilly, southern region of Småland in Sweden.
Entirely hand blown in Osaka, Japan, by master artisan Takeshi Tsujino, these special glass pieces are extremely small-batch and limited-edition.
Takeshi Tsujino learned his glass blowing skills at Seattle's renowned Pilchuck Studio and then spent ten years on the West Coast before returning to Japan to set up his own studio, just outside of Osaka.
Tsujino's use of glazing minerals and unexpected forms reflects a strong Japanese aesthetic presented in very contemporary forms. Each piece in the collection is truly unique, and the glass carries an impressive depth of character.
