Kazumi Takigawa is a Tokyo based artist who reproduces archetypal paper bag shapes using waxed canvas.
Born out of a process of studying sculptural materials while attending Tama Art University, Kazumi endeavored to elevate the everyday with the creation of these durable and versatile bags.
Each bag is crafted from durable cotton in a canvas weave, and dyed with organic and natural dyes including coffee, tea, alum mordant, oolong, and an iron mordant.
