We work with world-class artisans from around the globe to bring you a line of ethical, handcrafted homewares, lifestyle products and meaningful collections. We believe we should know the origin of the products we buy, as well as the impact of our consumption—not only on the environment, but also on the communities and individuals who created them.

We work with cooperatives of potters and weavers from Oaxaca, Guadalajara, and Mexico City. Made using the same techniques that have been perfected in the region since pre-Hispanic times, each piece is handmade in small batches.

Artisan Made

Handcrafted in partnership with world-class artisans—real people making products that bring meaning and connection to your home.

Small Batch

While protecting traditional methods, each item is handcrafted in limited quantities to ensure its sustainability and uniqueness.

Transparent supply chain

We follow our supply chain from concept to completion to protect our environment and artisan partners.

Sustainable Partnerships

By travelling to each region and using only local materials, we establish sustainable relationships with our artisans.

The Blacksmith from Nairobi. Our debut collection of brass is anchored in a strong sense of tradition, forged in the heart of Nairobi by our artisan partner, Sylvester. Hailing from a family of blacksmiths, Sylvester grew up inspired by his father who worked with metal to support their family. Now, as a father of five, Sylvester has carried this tradition forward—and we are honoured to introduce you to his handcrafted work.

Treana Peake’s passion for travel and eye for design, combined with her lifelong dedication to making a difference in the world, inspired her to launch Obakki in 2005. From remote villages in Mexico to the world's largest refugee resettlement area in Uganda, Treana consistently forms lasting relationships with Obakki’s artisan partners. She is committed to preserving, progressing and celebrating diverse craft cultures from around the world—while also creating sustainable change.
