WHY THE OPPORTUNITY FUND?

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.

For years, Obakki has invested in the people behind the objects we share—funding tools, improving workshops, supporting business development and helping artisan entrepreneurs reach new markets.

The Obakki Opportunity Fund will provide artisan entrepreneurs with the tools, resources and access they need to build sustainable, independently owned businesses.

The barrier is rarely talent. It may be a kiln that cannot meet demand, a workshop without adequate power, a lack of business systems or limited access to new buyers.

Independence is the goal

The Opportunity Fund isn't designed to make artisan businesses dependent on Obakki.

It's designed to help them grow independently—to work with multiple buyers, employ others, strengthen their businesses and create new opportunities within their own communities.

Artisans retain ownership of their businesses, their designs, their knowledge and their stories.

Where does my money go?

For any contribution you make, the full amount of your donation goes directly to our humanitarian projects.

All donation-based purchases will receive a tax receipt, which will be emailed to you separately.
