about caralarga
Caralarga works from a small atelier inside a former textile factory in Querétaro, creating sculptural wall hangings from recovered cotton yarn, textile waste, and fiber from the native Sansevieria plant. These humble, considered materials shape each piece — honoring traditional weaving techniques while supporting long-term, sustainable livelihoods within the local community.
"The main resources we use are raw cotton thread and textile waste, in addition to other natural materials such as sansevieria fiber, recycled bull horn, and bamboo, working hand in hand with artisans who preserve ancestral techniques."
