The Spark: A WHITE ENVELOPE

Treana Peake’s journey into philanthropy began with a single, silent gesture—an anonymous envelope of money slipped under her family’s front door yearly that started when she was just eight years old. At a time when they had nothing, that act of kindness changed everything.

It became the foundation for a life spent giving back. Treana never forgot the impact of that envelope, and it planted the seed for a lifelong mission: to pay it forward—quietly, meaningfully, and with purpose.

A Life of Global Impact

Over the past three decades, Treana has worked in international development, helping to transform lives in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. Her work has expanded access to clean water, education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods across the globe.

Through these efforts, Treana has directly impacted more than 4 million people and led the creation of over 4,000 water projects. Her work is grounded in human connection, dignity, and respect for the cultures she serves.

The Obakki Foundation

In 2007, Treana launched the Obakki Foundation as the philanthropic arm of her design company. The foundation's mission: to create tangible, sustainable impact at the grassroots level. From educational initiatives to healthcare access and economic empowerment, the Foundation takes a holistic approach to development.

Under her leadership, the Obakki Foundation has helped shift the trajectory of entire communities—building long-term stability, one project at a time.
