Story

The refined design of this rounded vase is highlighted by its clean lines and a raw clay finish. Glazed on the inside, the piece can be styled with or without water.

Created by a collective of four master artisans working together in a fair trade studio, each piece is hand-pigmented, thrown, fired, and glazed on site—a process that takes up to four days to complete.

The Potters of Jalisco

The Potters of Jalisco merge traditional ceramic practices with contemporary design, creating work that reflects both cultural heritage and modern sensibilities. Guided by designer Ana Paula Isaac, the studio embraces a collaborative process where each artisan contributes to shaping the clay. Their work draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes that surround them, echoing the tones and textures of beaches, valleys and high desert plateaus.

Every piece passes through many hands. The clay is mixed, thrown, refined and glazed within the studio, with the full process unfolding over several days. This approach honours the natural materials they work with and allows each object to develop its own quiet character. Their ceramics are rooted in intention, sustainability and respect for the craft. Through their work, the Potters of Jalisco offer pieces that bring beauty, connection and thoughtful design into everyday spaces.
