FERNANDA MERELES
Fernanda is a textile designer whose deep appreciation for folk textiles and inherited craft traditions led her to the pedal looms of Pátzcuaro. After studying design in Aguascalientes, she built lasting relationships with local weavers and seamstresses, forming a collaborative workshop rooted in shared knowledge and respect for process. Working with brushed Mexican cotton and natural fibers, their textiles blend heritage techniques with a modern, understated design language.
Many artisans within the workshop come from the same families, preserving generational craftsmanship while developing new expressions through contemporary form. The collective operates under fair working conditions and incorporates up-cycled materials as part of its commitment to sustainability. Each piece reflects patience, collaboration, and Fernanda’s belief that true comfort and beauty come from honest materials and time-honored hands.
