Story

When Valentina and Sébastien Nobile founded the non-profit La Soufflerie in 2007, they had a noble cause – to keep the art of glassblowing alive in Paris. And they've come a long way from selling their magnificent vases from the back of their bicycles in the 15th district of old Paris. They now operate glassblowing factories around the world.

All their exquisite pieces are handblown from 100% recycled glass – making them sustainable and ethical. And multipurpose – a vase can double as a candle holder or maybe a carafe. That head & face glass could be a vase or a pencil holder. And a very important aspect of the line – these elegant glass pieces are not only functional and beautiful, but their creation keeps an important skill alive.

Product Care

Hand wash using soft, non-abrasive sponge and dish liquid. If using as a candle holder, please blow out your candle before the wick touches the glass. Colored with all-natural pigments that will never fade, even in the dishwasher, but we recommend hand washing to preserve the finish and luster of these pieces.

La Soufflerie was founded in Paris by Valentina and Sébastien Nobile to preserve the ancient craft of 100% mouth-blown glass. What began as four recycled-glass vases sold from the back of their bicycles has grown into a full collection of exquisite hand-blown glassware made by master artisans.

When Sébastien discovered that only a handful of glassblowers still practiced this technique in Paris, he and Valentina set out to revive and sustain the craft. Every piece is made by hand from recycled glass—sustainable, timeless, and one-of-a-kind.

Their work celebrates family and craftsmanship, with many designs named after loved ones. Each piece tells a story of beauty, purpose, and the dedication to preserving a disappearing art through modern, meaningful design.
