Jack Nyawanga
Jack leads a collective of artisans who transform discarded brass into jewelry finished with gold or silver, creating beauty from materials gathered in their community. His workshop is a place where skill and creativity flourish, shaped by the determination of artisans working toward a better future. Each piece reflects their artistry, resourcefulness and pride.
Through a long-standing partnership, Obakki has supported the collective’s growth by helping establish a new workshop, strengthening their business capabilities and contributing to programs that benefit families in the neighbourhood. Together with Jack, this collaboration has helped more than 80 children access school and created vocational opportunities that support parents building stable livelihoods.
Jack’s vision continues to guide the collective forward. Their jewelry carries not only the story of sustainable craft, but also the shared effort of a community building resilience through creativity and opportunity.
