Yumiko Sekine
Yumiko Sekine founded Fog Linen Work after travelling the world in search of the simple, everyday linens she remembered from her childhood — and finding nothing that matched their quiet quality. Unable to source what she envisioned, she went directly to producers and began designing her own, starting with just seven pieces.
What followed was a life's work built around a single idea: beautiful things made for daily use. Designing from her studio in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, Sekine creates with a Japanese sensibility for restraint — believing that the best objects are the ones you reach for without thinking, worn in, washed often, and always at hand.
