A Lineage of Craft
“Our hands follow the rhythm of those who came before us.”
For five generations, the Hatay Weavers have created textiles on century-old looms, shaping each piece through inherited knowledge and slow, intentional work. Their craft continues to hold families together and preserve a tradition that remains central to their community. Each warp and tassel reflects the quiet mastery that has been carried through time, keeping this lineage alive with care and devotion.
Resilience in the Weave
“The looms endured, and so did we.”
When earthquakes devastated their region, the artisans returned to the few looms that could be recovered, choosing to rebuild their lives through the steadiness of their craft. Obakki worked directly with the weavers, providing emergency and ongoing support to help restore their workshop and create stability during an unimaginable time. Each textile now carries the strength of this resilience, reflecting both the hardship they lived through and the hope woven into their renewed work.
Craft With Integrity
“What we make carries our history and our future.”
Every towel and robe begins with organic cotton or linen, hand-warped and woven with care. Their process honours sustainable practice and thoughtful design, continuing a tradition passed down through generations. These textiles are created with intention, shaped by skilled hands and materials chosen for comfort, longevity and the quiet beauty of true craftsmanship.
