Japan
Baieido
The creation of incense is an extraordinary process that Baieido has dedicated itself to perfecting since 1657. Their methods and recipes have been handed down from generation to generation in an unbroken secret oral tradition for over 300 years. When the Chinese brought the first incense to Japan in the 7th century, along with Buddhism, it was used for ceremonial purposes. Today, incense is a staple in the modern home as a de-stressor and a tool to help us unwind.
Obakki’s Hinoki incense, with its woody and spicy scent, is made with essential oils harvested only from white cedar trees which have fallen naturally, making it an ethical and sustainable choice. Use freely anywhere stress occurs.
