HANDMADE IN MEXICO
Handmade in Oaxaca from locally sourced clay, this petite incense burner is naturally pigmented with copal resin and tobacco leaves, materials grown by the artisan himself. Smoky in tone and organic in form, it’s designed to hold incense with quiet elegance and ease.
Story

Francisco’s relationship with clay began in childhood, where he learned the pottery traditions passed down through his family. After years away, he returned home to continue this lineage, working with the same local earth that shaped the artisans before him. His practice honours the ancient methods used in his community, where hand-built kilns and slow, intentional firing define the character of each piece. What sets Francisco apart is his use of natural elements he grows himself. Copal and tobacco from his land are folded into the clay to create distinctive colours and organic textures that feel rooted in place. His open-air studio allows him to work closely with the materials around him, blending inherited knowledge with his own creative approach. Every vessel reflects patience, history, and the spirit of his craft.
