Story

Handmade in Vancouver, Janaki Larsen’s ceramic collection explores the relationship between natural materials, traditional pottery techniques, and contemporary design. Each piece is individually thrown from clay and carefully glazed, allowing subtle variations in shape, colour, and texture to emerge through the firing process.

Her signature matte glazes reveal delicate surface crackling, soft mineral tones, and organic variations that give each piece its distinctive character. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, these ceramics embrace the natural unpredictability of clay and fire, creating timeless, functional pieces that celebrate the beauty of craftsmanship.
