OUR VALUES

We work with world-class artisans from around the globe to bring you a line of ethical, handcrafted homewares, lifestyle products and meaningful collections. We believe we should know the origin of the products we buy, as well as the impact of our consumption—not only on the environment, but also on the communities and individuals who created them.

MADE FROM LAVA ROCK

Our artisan partners from Mexico City tell us that they love working with lava rock – as their forefathers (and mothers) did. The textures, the colours, and the ancestral powers inspire them.

MEET THE ARTISANS OF MEXICO CITY

This talented design collective based in Mexico City is the brainchild of an industrial designer from Yucatán, Mexico and a textile designer from Caracas, Venezuela. Giving true meaning to the word ‘collective’, they work with artisans from several states in Mexico – Puebla, Veracruz and Yucatán using fair trade standards. Every item created highlights an important craft of the artisan’s region – they are all pieces of ancestral traditions that would be lost, if not for collectives like this.

When Treana was in Uganda, she saw a woman walking down the street sporting the most incredible green bag.  She was drawn to that bag and immediately knew that she had to find the creator. And once she tracked Judith down and arranged a meeting, an instant bond was formed.
