8" Albina Plate
HANDMADE IN MEXICO
The unique, smokey glaze on these plates will add a sense of mystery to any dining space.
Story
Combine these with our Albina dinner plates to create the perfect artisanal dinnerware set. These mysterious smoked dishes are the result of the great sense of experimentation that is synonymous with the potters from the south of Mexico. With over 3,000 years of pottery tradition behind these communities, we could not expect a less dazzling result from the Atzompa region.

Ana Maria
Our Oaxacan artisan, Ana Maria, has dedicated 35 years to pottery. She creates her magnificent pieces for the home using traditional techniques she learned from her father, applying modern design to her ancestral craft.
She began to work with clay when she was just 12 years old. And she met her husband when she was 18 – when he came to install a kiln in her father’s house. He remains her exclusive kiln-builder to this day, and the entire family works together to gather the clay from the mines. From beginning to end, their process is organic, transparent, and ethical. Our kind of artisan.
